BRAY-MANESS PHYSICAL THERAPY, INC.

Bray-Maness Physical Therapy is a therapist-owned private practice that has been providing rehabilitation services to Piedmont, North Carolina since 1983. With offices in High Point and Asheboro, it provides outpatient services that include the treatment of work-related injuries, a work conditioning program to assist in transition back to work, and Functional Capacity Evaluations to assist in effective job placement. The goals of rehabilitation services are to maximize functional outcomes for injured workers, as well as, to provide successful and timely return to work.

In addition to its outpatient services, onsite work injury management and prevention services are also provided to local employers, both for office and industrial settings. Services include ergonomic job analysis, injury prevention training, and consultation. Job analysis is utilized to determine the risks for injury related to musculoskeletal disorders and to provide recommendations for reducing those risks. It may also be used to assess the physical demands of a job, either for job descriptions or for matching a worker's capabilities to the job. Injury prevention training is provided for management, employees, and ergonomic team members regarding their respective responsibilities for reducing the risks of musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace. Consultation services are available for ergonomics program development, medical management and return-to-work programs, equipment selection and workplace design. Emphasis is placed on reducing the incidence and cost of claims for musculoskeletal injuries, improving productivity, and producing a safer, more comfortable work environment.

WELLNESS and ERGONOMIC SOLUTIONS (WES), INC

WES services reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries and support the philosophy that a healthy workplace generates a healthy bottom line. WES programs promote a healthier, more productive workforce by assisting companies in identifying risky health factors and work practices that escalate Worker's Compensation claims and costs.

WES conducts wellness, prevention and rehabilitation programs at the company's worksite. Wellness services include Wellness Ratings generated from flexibility, strength, and endurance testing and body composition analysis. Individualized Wellness Programs target problem areas identified during the wellness rating assessment. Health Risk Seminars on nutrition, fitness, weight loss, and stress management are recommended for industries with identified health risk trends.

WES prevention tools include Post Employment Screening that documents an employee's baseline physical abilities and detects risk factors that may contribute to future worker injury. Identified high-risk workers are educated and trained; decreasing potential claims reports.

Additional prevention services are IMPACC's Work Risk Analysis (WRA) and Management/Supervisor and Employee training seminars. The WRA identifies risky work practices and policies that contribute to increased claims. Customized training programs are developed incorporating company specific work risk and identified work injury problems (e.g., CTD and back injury). Training involves understanding the work injury process, appropriate acute injury responses and early injury symptom identification.

Rehabilitation services include on-site physical therapy emphasizing early intervention and resulting in reduced loss work time, decreased worker's compensation costs, increased employer case management control, and convenient professional consulting. On-site customized Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) determine the current capabilities of an injured worker and whether the individual is safe to return to work. This unique FCE is designed to utilize on-site job equipment that improves test validity. For injured workers who need comprehensive intervention, on-site work conditioning is the ideal solution. This goal-oriented program is designed to improve the injured worker's strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiopulmonary functions for a safe, efficient return to full job duties.
